SPA Rooms
SPA headquarters are divided into two buildings: one in Av. Duque de Loulé, 31 and the other one in R. Gonçalves Crespo, 62, in Lisbon. Besides incorporating support and administrative services, these buildings include two noble rooms: Maestro Frederico de Freitas Auditorium – orientated to theatre shows, light and serious music concerts, poetry recitals, movie sessions, photography and plastic arts exhibitions, debates and conferences, and also books and CD launches – and Carlos Paredes Room – intended for plastic arts exhibitions (painting, photography, drawing, architecture and sculpture), being also open to other cultural events: music shows, lectures, literary activities and award shows.
Other SPA Rooms include the Library – with an acquis of about 33,000 works (books) and 6,000 (periodical publications), one poster, photographic, video, tape and CD archive - , one Work Archive, including several thousands of musical and theatre works, with particular emphasis to musical comedy texts , operettas, Portuguese light music and serious music – and Casa António Gião, located in Reguengos de Monsaraz, holding a rich furniture and decoration items estate, artworks, a library dedicated to the scientific area, mainly to Meteorology and Geophysics and unpublished literary works about these themes.
