On the next 16th of May, at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition “Soares Semper Fixe!” will be inaugurated in the gallery Carlos Paredes, in SPA building 2 , consisting of a significant set of photographs by Inácio Ludgero who, as a photojournalist, accompanied the activity of Mário Soares as a party leader, as Prime Minister, as President of the Republic, MEP and international socialist leader. This set of photographs gives an idea of the intense political, personal and cultural activity developed by one of the founders and most committed defenders of democracy and freedom in Portugal.
Mário Soares, who made his debut as a literary author in 1950, became an associate of the SPA, which awarded him, as a form of recognition and consecration, the Life and Work Prize at the 2012 TV gala at CCB. This exhibition, the first of homage to Mário Soares in the months following his death, should have wide itinerancy as a way of celebrating his life and work.
