SPA’s Lifetime Achievement Award Went to Mário Soares

SPA’s Board of Directors presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Mário Soares for his work as a book author, namely for Incursões Literárias (Literary Incursions) or the recent Um Político Assume-se (Proud to Be a Politician). SPA’s Board has also highlighted the award winner’s contribution to increase the value of culture in Portugal, which undoubtedly happened during his two presidential terms. Mr. Mário Soares is a member of SPA since 1990.

In the two previous editions, the Lifetime Achievement Award was respectively presented to the painter Júlio Pomar and to the philosopher and essayist Eduardo Lourenço.
